Head Topology Model: An Intro


A little while ago we were given our brief on our new task for the Imaging and Data Visualisation aspect of the course.  That is we have to create 3D Sculpture based on a class member as a reference, and upon finishing this sculpt apply the method of retopology to bring down the polygon count (to under 10,000). All of which I think I understand!

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t wary of the more technical side of modelling on Maya. I don’t have the greatest track record of success with technology (everything I touch explodes), and I always feel creatively restricted by it. Hopefully this task changes that !
