I designed and put together this mock licence-plate-with-a-bullet-through-it as part of our installment piece, firstly I rewatched to movie to make note of the bank getaway car & licence plate that was mentioned in the film by the police which was: “Blue Zidane, 1949 13X572”
I looked into California License plates and worked out a design on photoshop:
Using this, I used wire, tough card and mod rock to create the plate. Then watercolour paint to colour and detail.
[EDIT: FINAL LICENSE PLATE AS PART OF THE ARTEFACT]
The mugs were a jokey idea we had as a group to make the artefact look alive and currently in use. Jessica also joked about having a box of half-eaten doughnuts to set on the desk which is such a playful idea that I really think should be part of it.
For these the lettering was just painted with watercolour and real coffee used to stain.
[EDIT: MUGS AS PART OF ARTEFACT (ONLY ONE SURVIVED)]
An important part of Gun Crazy is where serial money tracked from Chicago to Los Angeles is used to buy a ballroom ticket in California. So I thought I would make this ticket as part of our evidence for the artefact.
Constructed from strong card, and detailed freehand with watercolour paint and ink.
